WordPress development without the page-builder weight.
Fast block themes, editorial and services sites built for Core Web Vitals and search from the first page, and rebuilds of sites that have grown slow and thin.
What we build on WordPress
- Custom block themesCoded themes using the native block editor, not a drag-and-drop builder. Faster pages, fewer plugins, and content your team can still edit.
- Services and professional websitesLaw, finance, consulting and agency sites where every service page has to rank, read well and carry the right schema.
- Rebuilds of slow or thin sitesWe keep your URLs and content, strip the builder bloat, expand thin pages and fix the technical SEO as part of the same project.
- Editorial and content sitesBlogs and knowledge hubs with author and reviewer schema, clean taxonomies and templates that make publishing fifty articles as easy as five.
- Lead capture and trackingForms that store leads in WordPress as well as emailing them, GA4 and Search Console connected, and conversion events that actually fire.
- Care and hosting adviceUpdates, backups, caching and security hardening, or a plain recommendation on where to host and what to remove.
Case study
A 73-page WordPress services website, rebuilt for speed and search
The site had the problems most WordPress services sites have after a few years: thin service pages of about 290 words, a homepage making 11 requests and loading in 489 ms, orphan pages, broken internal links and a blog with six posts.
We audited it and then rebuilt it page by page. Service pages were expanded to between 1,250 and 2,100 words, each with FAQ schema and reviewer schema. Internal links were mapped so no page was orphaned. The homepage was cut to 3 requests and 197 ms. The blog grew from 6 to 56 keyword-led articles, and GA4 lead tracking was set up so the owner could see which pages produce enquiries.
We quote only what was measured. Search Console was not connected at the start, so there is no honest ranking before-and-after yet.

The proof is this website
You are looking at our WordPress work.
maisonglobalagency.com runs on a block theme we coded ourselves: no page builder, no jQuery, no plugin scripts, two stylesheets. This is how it measured on a throttled phone connection in October 2026.
Largest content on screen, phone on a slowed 4G connection
Layout shift while pages load
Stylesheets per page: the theme and its font, with no jQuery or plugin scripts
Page-builder plugins, jQuery or plugin scripts
How a WordPress project runs
Content and structure first, design second, code third. It is the order that produces sites that rank.
Audit and sitemap
What you have, what ranks, what is thin and what is missing. We agree the page list and URL structure before any design.
Design in the theme
A coded block theme on a staging site, reviewed on your phone. No mockup that later has to be rebuilt.
Content, schema and links
Pages written or expanded, FAQ and reviewer schema added, internal links mapped, redirects prepared for any URL that changes.
Launch, measure, hand over
Search Console and GA4 connected, sitemap submitted, and a short training session for whoever edits the site next.
Why no page builder?
Builders are quick to start and slow forever after: heavy CSS and scripts on every page, markup that search engines read poorly, and a site that breaks when the builder updates. A coded block theme gives your team the same editing freedom with a fraction of the weight.
Already on a builder?
We can rebuild on a block theme while keeping every URL, or, where a rebuild is not justified, tune what you have: remove unused modules, fix the caching, add schema and expand the pages that matter. We will tell you which makes sense.
Questions about WordPress development
Will my team be able to edit the site without you?
Yes. We build on the native block editor with your pages, sections and styles set up as editable blocks. We include a handover session and a short written guide.
Do you use Elementor or other builders?
Not for new builds. We code block themes because they are faster and more stable. If your existing site runs on a builder we can maintain or tune it, and we will tell you plainly when a rebuild would pay for itself.
Can you rebuild my site without losing rankings?
Keeping your URLs, titles and content, and redirecting anything that changes, protects what you rank for. We check Search Console after launch. Rankings themselves cannot be guaranteed by anyone.
Do you write the content too?
Yes. The 73-page rebuild above included expanding every service page and writing 50 blog articles. Content is quoted per page or per article so you can choose how much to hand over.
Where should a WordPress site be hosted?
Managed WordPress hosting with server-level caching is enough for most services sites; we recommend based on your traffic and region. We set up caching and a CDN as part of every build.
